Chromatography Direct offer a wide range of high-quality peristaltic pump tubing for ICP-MS and ICP-OES customers.
Solvent Resistant Pthalate-free Medical grade PVC Solva, highly extraction resistant, is part of Chromatography Directs range of small bore tubing to meet a wide variety of applications. Its solvent-resistant characteristic allows it to be used for aromatic oils, solvents, petroleum compounds, inks and many other applications. It is also Phthalate Free, meeting the modern requirements of tubing under REACH regulation.
Solva exhibits comparable chemical resistance properties to Viton tubing but is more competitively priced due to the use of PVC material. The PVC contains a TOTM plasticiser which maintains the integrity of Solva during the transport of oils.
Solva also exhibits very low gas permeability.
It is flexible tubing, translucent for the visual confirmation of flow, but bright yellow to distinguish from standard PVC materials. As with our other tubing ranges, it is manufactured to offer excellent pumping life and wide compatibility with popular pumping systems.
The material contains no Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) as classified by the REACH environmental regulation.

Viton® is a proprietary type of fluoroelastomer rubber, manufactured by DuPont Industries. Viton® has one of the broadest ranges of chemical resistance in industry.
We use Viton® B grade, which is regarded as an ideal type for peristaltic pump use. This combines excellent flexibility with high chemical resistance and antiageing properties over a wide range of environmental conditions.
Viton® B is specified as a terpolymer of vinylidene fluoride, hexafluoropropylene and tetrafluoroethylene and has a higher fluid resistance than Viton® A.
Viton® B is not a medical class material, and the resultant extruded tubing is ideal for many industrial applications involving acids and oils.
